About the Philippine Native Cow
The Philippine
Native Cow is primarily used for milk and as a draft animal (animals that
carry/pull equipment or cargo) although it can also be used as a source of meat
particularly beef. A male of this certain breed exhibits a small hump while the
mature body weight of the females is 280 – 300 kg. The Scientific name of this
animal could not be determined since it originated from Chinese cattle and
cattle from both Spain and Mexico; it came from both tropical and European
cattle.
