Just like Yam Hawk Moths, these little fellas are also locals in PSHS-CLC. Most of them are found in the Academic Building I attached on the screens of the classrooms' windows and even the faculty's.
About Rhinoceros Beetles

Rhinoceros beetles are herbivorous insects named for the horn-like projections on and around the heads of males. Most are black, gray, or greenish in color, and some are covered in soft hairs. Another name given to some of these insects is Hercules beetle because they possess strength of a herculean proportion. Adults of some species can lift objects 850 times their weight! That would be equivalent to a human lifting 9 fully grown male elephants!
This black beetle uses its horns to try to knock other males off a tree when they smell a female. They also make hissing squeaks when disturbed. These hissing sounds are made by rubbing the abdomen against the wing covers. Rhinoceros beetles are actually quite harmless; as long as you avoid the sharp claws on the end of their legs. Females are quite plain and seen less often. It is also thought that the large gatherings on the Poinciana trees are part of the beetles mating behavior.
